According to composer Eugene Marlow: “Resolution — a quasi bossa/cha-cha for big band, was originally written in the context of the BMI Jazz Composers Workshop in mid-2005. The thematic material came to me while I was improvising at the piano, and when the muse strikes, I never argue! I was in a centered, resolved mood. Together with my affinity for Latin-tinged music, the result is Resolution.” — Eugene Marlow
